The three things i learned in Related Issue 2 is National Interests and Women's Rights ,Serbia Nationalism and the Balkans and the last NationalInterest and World War 1 Peace Settlements.
National Interests and Women's Rights in Afghanistan girls were not allowed to go to school and women were not allowed to have jobs. In Sima Samar was a Afghanistan's first minister of women's Rights Commission . Sima Samar a doctor ran clinics and schools for girls and women, She received many death threats. And the way she responded to them was by saying, " Go ahead hand me in the public square and tell the people my crime- I was giving paper and pencils to girls ". Samar said " Changing Afghanistan will take time . We started in 2001 with no systems at all we have accomplished a lot but Democracy is a process , it doesn't come because you shout at it . You have ti deal with the weak points"I feel that everyone is equal and should be able to go to school and have a job not just the men. It mad me realize that we are in Canada and women can go to school and get work. Because you look at some of these places where women don't have say they cant go to school they can't work or even pick there own husband. And were luck that we can do all that we can go to school and work, I thick we take it for granted.
Serbian Nationalism In June 1992 the UN Security Council told Serbian forces to stop the attack or face military action.By the time the siege of Sarajevo was lifted in early 1996 more than 11000 of the citizens had been killed. Serbia is apart of the Balkans it the lower part of Europe by the mountains. The Balkans have lots of conflict. The Balkans is kind of isolated because of the mountains.
World War 1 was fought in Europe in the middle of East Asia and Africa The one side was Central Power led by Germany and the other were Allies led by Britain. Before WW1 nationalism had flourished in Europe. Most people that were affected why WW1 had not say if they were to go to war or not. Canada was one of those places if Britain went to war so did Canada because they were under British command.
